Yeah, I think I'll get it.
@jack, now is the time to put what we've got on the NS forums. We've come along quite a bit. We could even advertise a separate from NS Zombie event there.

Couldn't resist As a point of interest. After the game is concluded you need to reset it. On occasion by removing the plugin then reinstalling, though it always seems to work for me when resetting.

So Warrender, you've done the Zombie thing before can you give us a better idea of how it all works. I didn't find the page for the Proboards plug in all that helpful.

When you start it off the admins set up who will be patient zero(the zombie) who will be a scientist and who will be a soldier. Zombies can bite other members and turn them into zombies. You can alter it but there's a limit of 2 per hour IIRC Soldiers can shoot those infected stopping them from spreading the disease. Scientists can cure it and make people immune for a day. It automatically adds a banner beneath the avatar picture that tells you what you are, infected, uninfected, scientist, soldier and Dead. Can be quite fun. Even more fun when we tested it for the first time and our only soldier shot himself in the first three minutes of it going live link to the plugin www.proboards.com/library/plugins/item/214I'm not sure if mods can view plugins but I know admins can.

Is your role hidden to everyone else? So the scientist can't be infected immediately or the zombie can't be killed immediately.
Edit: It doesn't really matter because it's really likely we'll be doing this anyway we just want to be able to advertize it properly to get better participation.

From what I recall, you can never infect scientist, but you can't allocate new ones either once the game starts, so if you aren't hot on your feet you end up being unable to keep up with the outbreak as you can only cure so many people at a time (2 per hour or day IIRC)
All of that can be altered before you start the game though, meaning it can be made to run as long or as quick as you like depending on the settings. Of course, the fewer people playing means you want fewer scientists and soldiers to compensate.

Well, here's an update for anyone who is interested regarding *So, everyone, what's up?* So life seems to have gotten a little less hectic recently, I've finally moved in with my partner and I'm STILL tidying all her crap Trouble is she never bit the bullet and bought herself furniture to store things, she always .. made do .. with what she had, so together we'll make it into a home to be both proud of. So this has meant that I've been able to get some free time to do other things other than just sitting on xBox all night so I'm glad the RP hasn't died of death after the xmas period. Speaking of which, a Zombie Nations game is in the final planning stages on the RP forum I help run and I'm hoping that once it's concluded and the Wild West RP is a little further on in storyline that I can run the Zombie game here too, might be good fun and I'll also be able to get the bugs worked out for its second try Don't ask me about my family, things are all over the place with things generally going up %$#@ creak without a paddle. I've recently bought an Enterprise E model for Star Trek which I plan to assemble with lighting inside it. This can then go along side my partners Voyager model I did for her for her Birthday. Yay, my partner is a nerd!
