Any good region needs to be dedicated to recruiting in some form or another in order to grow and bring fresh players into the fold. More and new people help achieve objectives and provide a new perspective and different avenues for activity. Fort Triumph is no different from any other region in that our survival depends on our ability to attract more people to community.
For those reasons, we’ve opened this thread for people to sign up to manually recruit. We’ve been fortunate to be able to do some stamp recruiting but as effectiveness of stamps (and API) are on the decline across NationStates, we must make sure that we are pursuing recruitment through all approved channels. That means greater emphasis must be placed on manual recruitment.
If you’d like to help manually recruit for Fort Triumph please state your intent in this thread. The information below is necessary for us to set you as a recruiter for the region. The reason we ask for a draft of the telegram that you will use is so that it meets a minimum standard of being a good representation of our region. Feel free to give your recruitment TG your own personal flair as long as it hits the key points about our region.
Here is the recruitment telegram currently in use for our stamps to give you an example (and you can use this as well if you’d like):
Note that we are appreciative of any time you can give whether it be 30 minutes or an hour or more. This is a team effort that shouldn't rest on any one person. If you need information on how to manually recruit nations to Fort Triumph here is a quick guide.
Setting up your recruitment telegram template
The first thing you’ll want to do is set up a template for your recruitment telegram by following these instructions from [violet]
Be sure to mark your telegram as recruitment. If you do not you are breaking site rules and can be reported.
Who do you try to recruit?
Typically the recruitment pool is viewed as the feeders, the sinkers and the Rejected Realms. The feeders spawn newly founded nations, the sinkers spawn nations that have previously ceased to exist but have been revived, and the Rejected Realms is the gathering place for every nation ejected from its previous region.
Feeders: The North Pacific, The Pacific, The South Pacific, The West Pacific, The East Pacific
Sinkers: Lazarus, Balder, Osiris
The Rejected Realms
In order to see newly founded, refounded, or ejected nations you can use this activity page link: www.nationstates.net/page=activity/view=world/filter=eject+founding
While you can try to send messages to founded, refounded and ejected nations, success rates are proven to be much better for founded nations, so it’s best to focus on making sure you recruit those nations as quickly as possible.
With the way the recruitment queue works the faster you telegram a nation since its founding or refounding or ejection the better chance your telegram has of being read. It is suggested when you start recruiting at a given period in time that you don’t bother trying to recruit nations that were founded many minutes or hours ago and instead focus on nations that are founding and refounding after you start paying attention to the activity feed.
Sending the message
Once you’ve identified a nation you would like to try to recruit, click on their nation, scroll to the bottom, and click the “Write Telegram” button. After you’ve done that, all that’s left is to copy and paste in your recruitment template code and hit send. Rinse and repeat.
