Let me start by saying that I would like to not win this vote.
That said I do have some ideas about what the next Mayor should do and I hope that my opponent and the other campaigning candidates will try to incorporate some of it. With that in mind and because I'm helpful I thought I would share these thoughts.
Foreign Affairs
I think our region is uniquely positioned to benefit from a robust foreign outreach. We're too early on in stages to seek out like official treaties or anything but the standard forum embassy or discord presence would prove highly beneficial to us. Normally these forum embassies are somewhat of a waste of time mainly used to push periodic "updates" on a region. Fort Triumph, is a heavily events focused region, however, so our embassies could be used frequently to send invitations to players across NS to partake in our events. Basically our #1 export is an event and we should leverage that to achieve better relations with various regions and to get better participation in our events making them more fun.
Who should we try to open up embassy-type relations with? There are a few key characteristics I would look for in a region. They should have either an active forum or active discord. The reason for this is that is where our events will take place and people averse to offsite things aren't our target audience due to the integral role forum plugins play in our events and overall regional appeal. I think we should also be looking for regions with sizable communities 50-75 nations and up. This shows a certain level of dedication to growth and want to to continue to exist. Emerging regions or regions that are actively recruiting should also be considered appealing foreign partners. Whoever the next Mayor is I would glad to help come up with a list of regions to start off this initiative. Most of this can be done via NS region tags.
Recruitment and Retention
It is of paramount importance for the long term health of the region that we create a culture of doing what we can to bring in new players to help sustain and grow what we do. In order to do that we have to maintain a focus on recruiting and integrating new nations. I know that at least Benevolent Thomas, DeadWest and I have done some recruiting either through stamps or manually. Stamps can be expensive though and a broader base of people focused on recruiting will allow us to have more success recruiting. Look at a region like 10000 Islands for example, part of their culture is recruiting and it's incentivized. For us we can incentivize recruiting through achievement/awards, monetary gifts in forum currency or hold an event that ties into recruiting (brainstorming has hit the Event Planning Committee on this thanks to DeadWest).
Just as important as recruiting is retention. We need to be interacting with new recruits to try to get them to participate however they can. Key entry points we want to get them to are the forum or the discord server where they can experience things first hand and hopefully fall in love with the region.
Anyway those are some of my quick thoughts. I'm sure I'll have plenty more and will always be happy to bounce ideas around to whoever becomes Mayor.

Whoever the next Mayor is I would glad to help come up with a list of regions to start off this initiative. Most of this can be done via NS region tags. On Foreign Affairs I absolutely agree not just from a cross cultural exchange of events but if you examine our region many of us are dual citizens of other regions who are helping to drive the growth of Fort Triumph. So I bleeive not only with increase participation in events but many of those people who would come and enjoy our events from other regions might choose to participate more directly in ours helping us not only grow but also help to create more events, and generate new ideas for our regions. I agree on the specifics you mention us lookin for in partners I also wholey agree the onus is on us as it will only benefit us to actively look and examine possibly alliances, embassies and partnerships. I think. I also think doing this and maybe working with them to develop interregional events can seek to only grow us as well. An example of this was one earlier this year that TSP, Forest and TNP held that I saw many people in my initial home region join in. They have since gone on to become active members whether from a diplomatic stand point or from an actual citizenship stand point in those other regions as well. Again I'm in complete agreement! Recruitment and Retention is what is going to make us great as well! We shouldn't just rely on being people dual choice, if we can be there 1st choice as well. As stated I actively participate in recruitment and would love to incentivize recruitment with both forum currency rewards, special acheivements, and other gifts, because recruitment is the life blood of any region. I think examining what other regions do and testing possible TG's for % recruited will be integral in our growth, as well as examining if we do better with Refounded vs New while targeting both to better aim our TG's, eventual API, and manual recruitments. As For retention I think updating Dispatchs quite often and developing a Dispatch for New Players and New members to Fort Triumph could be helpful in guiding them when our experience players are offline. I was unfortunately am just now returning to being active on the RMB after real life got in the way, but I think engaging and greeting new members in the RMB when they join is also a great start. I also think TG's memeber who move regions can give us valuable incite as to what we can do to better retain people as well. The hardest thing I've seen regions have issue with out of all this though is moving participation to off site forums, and I think one way to combat this is to look for ways to slowly ingrate the RMB into our activities to an extant, essentially the foot in the door technique, give them a little so they will want more and eventually as they have fun they will want to look at well else we have to offer on our offsite forums. I must say though I had initially voted for you and only upon you posting did I change at your behest. I think you would do a fine job as a Mayor especially with insights like these. We are very fortunate to have you what ever capacity you with to participate in.
