Howdy, Y'all!I'm Shizensky, and I'd like to be your mayor.
I've been around NS for a while now. Been in 10000 Islands and served in their senate, even got myself knighted with a statue and everything. I've founded my own region, which proudly wears a commendation for all of the hard work and good we've done for the world. Now I'm focused on Fort Triumph, and doing whatever I can to make it the most rootin' tootin' region in this here game!
Lemme know if you have any questions and I'd be happy to answer them. Remember to get out there and vote in the brackets!

Can you give an idea on what some of your goals as Mayor would be?
Obviously you have good region building experience, what should we be focusing on right now to help this region have long term success?

Recruiting needs to be a priority. We have people who spend money on stamps, but I'd never ask anybody to do that. We would want an API set up, and a system in place the encourages the townsfolk to send recruiting messages as well. We have a few options on the forums of ways to reward people for their work, from monetary compensation to different options provided from our many plugins.
But recruiting alone is never enough. We need to make sure we're recruiting people into something that's fun and engaging. We can keep looking for ways to use plugins to give people a reason to use the forums, but our cultural events are going to be huge. I'd like to make sure we always have a dedicated leader of the EPC. They don't necessarily need to be churning ideas out all of the time, but they can work well with the rest of the committee to encourage ideas and then bring them to life. Ideally, these events would bring people onto the forum and Discord, but they should also be used to breath life into our RMB so newcomers don't think they're coming into a ghost town when they get their first look at Fort Triumph.

About how long do you see yourself as being the Mayor? We currently have no mechanisms in place for transition to a future mayor although a challenge system was discussed so it's an interesting question.

Somewhere between 3 and 6 months. I'm not sure if I'd handle that by stepping down, or by issuing a challenge of my own seat to encourage others to run. Either way I'd hope to set a precedent of a mayor serving terms rather than sitting on this hands waiting for someone who thinks they can do better.
