That's not really true, Shiz. First of all, it's important that we at least try and get a bandit. Second, if people are voting against people it'll tell you a lot later about who they vote for and who they don't vote for. Bandit's are unlikely to vote for other bandits, and when they bluff it's often pretty obvious (such as casual votes right at the end of the vote period).

I hadn't read the rules yet, so I made a throwaway vote in case there was anything forcing us to vote. The only reason I haven't removed the vote is because there's no pressure against you yet and I was out of town for a few days, so i didn't want to be taking too many actions if I wasn't around to explain them/defend myself.
All of that being said:

Yeah, you explained that it's a bad idea, I've just never agreed with that line of thought. That's exactly what Camp's calling me out on, actually. I almost never vote to lynch someone early on unless I have to or have found good reason to do so. Shooting in the dark has better odds of hitting a friendly than a bandit right now, so I'm keeping my gun holstered.

If we vote no lynch, the bandits get a free kill of one of the good guys at the end of the day. If everyone votes no lynch, then you have learnt absolutely nothing about voting patterns later on, and you 100% lose one of the good guys. If people vote then at least you a) get a 3/10(?) chance of killing a bad guy (better than 0/10) and you can use who people voted for and when to work out who the bad guys are later on.
I don't really know how I can make this more clear that it makes absolutely no sense voting no lynch, unless, of course, you are a bandit.

I am going to make my no lynch official. I don't necessarily agree with Eist's position at this point although I do believe voting patterns are valuable later in the game. But at this point we're more than likely going to hit a good guy. And there is a decent chance it is a power role within the good guy pool. Why should we randomly vote for someone with no information and they turn out to be the tribesman or a marshal. We put ourselves in a quick hole with nothing to go off of. If we do nothing this round the Seer is guaranteed to get the opportunity to scan one person and begin to build an army whereas the wolves only have a small chance of hitting the seer tonight.

I've been a bad guy maybe 2 times in all of the games I've played, having voted for a no lynch nearly every single time. There aren't many people here who can personally attest to that, but those who've played with me know it. But since you want a vote so badly, I'll give you one. Vote: Lynch Eist

There's still a day(?) of this phase left, and I rarely post anyway, so chill Eist . The main problem with getting people to vote for players on the first day is that there is nothing to go on, so you end up with random votes that, in the end, don't tell you a lot. Anyway, my vote per the randomator is Vote: Lynch Sauron

Do we know how many people among us are bandits? I'd guess there would be able 4. If so, after two days pass the chances of us lynching a bandit over a cowboy begin to increase. It may not be the most effective method, but we'd at least of probability on our side.

Also, please don't edit your posts in Bandits! YES. Very important that everyone remember this. Is there any penalty for no lynch? Not in this game. Your no-lynch votes are safe. What happens when there is a tie? I'll flip a coin. I think Thomas said there were 3 bandits, 2 marshals and 1 tribesman This is the case. Everyone is called out of their tents so that they are made aware of what has happened. Someone has been murdered. There is no evidence of anyone else entering the camp, so one of them is the murderer. Accusations soon begin to fly around, but some of the calmer voices managed to get everyone to agree to continue the conversation once on the move. Two names dominated the conversation throughout the day: Shizensky and Eist. The voices to hang each of these men equaled the amount of people who would prefer not killing anybody until they had more information. In the end it was decided that one of them would have to die. As the group made camp for the evening, they found a tree with strong branches. A noose was made and Shizensky was dragged kicking and screaming to his untimely death. After the hanging, several members of the remaining group riffled through his belongings and found nothing. There is nothing to tie him to any bandit activity nor did he have anything to hide. Shizensky was a cowboy. VotesNo Lynch: 2 Shizensky: 2 Eist: 2 Ater Nox: 1 Sauron: 1 Controlitia: 1 Result: No Lynch Coin Flip between Shiz and Eist - Shiz is lynched.
