I think I chose the only profession that starts with any piloting skill. I wouldn't mind being a pilot either, it fits my character's persona.

Nothing to stop those feeling brave enough to throw in a second char later in the game once it gets into full swing. Would be a dandy way of filling in some gaps your missing, after all, if you found someone with the skills you needed you'd invite them to join anyway.

You also forgot to specify his Profession. Of course I think your bio hints at what he is supposed to be. I swear I'm not an idiot

So what else do we need? A captain is the minimum? Maybe someone who was a trader before the Thomas character was on board? What do you guys think?

I had a question about what the Qtr rooms are on the 2nd deck plans. Are they just equipment storage areas?
Also I guess we need to discuss our arrangements on deck 1. I think it'd make sense to have the captain's room be on the right of the bridge since what else are we gonna do with that space and to the left we have random sleeping arrangements. I dunno if that's more or less what you imagined Warrender. Also the rest of group what do you think of those ideas.
Edit: I reread what Warrender wrote and it seems like the Qtr are passenger quarters and the bunkspace is on the bridge. With that in mind I think depending on the amount of passengers we carry we shouldn't use the bunks on the 1st deck. We could have our crew bellyaching about having to move to the bunks when the ship gets full.

Indeed, Qtr was meant to stand for Quarters, as in crew Quarters but I never actually said it :/

Profession: Captain Add Equip: Background in trade Background: Captain Moresby came from a respectable family that owned a small space-faring company before the GESE restrictions. Ok, I've posted up your char sheets. I've underlined the skills as I think this info is what you're most likely going to want quick access to in order to remind yourselves how good or bad your chars are at certain things. Any questions, holla. I'm sending a message to applebane as he/she was the only other person who showed interest and there's more than enough time to join up. Bolttz, if you find a picture you'd like to use I'll happily add it anytime, or search for one if you'd like, no worries. Control, I've edited the first picture you posted with one I found off tinternetz, hope you like, message me if not, no worries if you want changes made Feel free to throw up some introductory posts anytime you like before we reach the planet. Once everyone has joined or posted or sufficient time has elapsed I'll get you all going. Use the OOC as much as you like to agree OOC who is going where or what you want to do. But most importantly, I hope you all enjoy yourselves

So just a question: are the people that were rushed onto the ship familiar with everyone but the captain? Basically I'm trying to figure out how to approach this first post. It'd be weird to have some kind of introduction post if I already met the people before we all ran onto the ship

Warrender, you got them reversed. I wanted the tough, grizzled guy in the slick uniform.

Righto, I'll swap the images over, I must have copied and pasted in the wrong order. I'll also get your image added Bolttz.
The passengers would have only made a very brief introduction to the crew before coming aboard, this could have been as little as saying "My name is Bob and I want to come with you" all the way to of having had a long winded talk with a crew member in the bar as they tell them all the wrong doings going on in the town and the reasons for wanting to escape.
I'd suggest the easiest way would be to pick a player to talk to and have your character bump into them in the corridor or a room, mess hall etc. Just to get an idea of the style of your roleplaying and make things a little easier when I post up the first options. If anyone wants their char to be a loner then there's no problem RP'ing a solo bit of text where you are just giving insights to how your char thinks.
I'd happily add a temp char if anyone wants some assistance.
